Job summary

Eden Brown Synergy is recruiting for an experienced Engineering Lecturer to join a Further Education college in West Yorkshire. This part-time, temporary role requires delivering Level 3 engineering programmes three days a week (Mon, Wed, Thu) starting asap and continuing until Christmas, with the aim of developing learners’ technical skills and industry knowledge.

You will teach Level 3 Mathematics in an engineering context, Mechanical Principles, Materials, and Health and Safety, while

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Level 3 engineering subjects.
• Strong knowledge of Mathematics, Mechanical Principles, Materials and Health and Safety.
• Relevant engineering qualification and/or industry experience.
• Ability to deliver engaging lessons and support learner progress.
• Excellent communication and classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Level 3 engineering teaching across modules.
• Plan and prepare lessons and resources for Level 3 courses.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records and complete marking per college policy.
• Support learners of varied abilities to reach their potential.

Role: Engineering Lecturer

Location: West Yorkshire

Type: Temporary - Part Time

Rate: £35 - £39 per hour

Eden Brown are recruiting for an experienced Engineering Lecturer to join a Further Education college in West Yorkshire.

This is part time role for 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday & Thursday) to start asap until Christmas initially delivering Level 3 engineering programmes.

This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable engineering professional with a passion for teaching and supporting learners to develop their technical skills and industry knowledge.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality teaching across Level 3 engineering subjects, helping students develop the theoretical knowledge and practical understanding required for progression into employment or further study.

• Teaching Level 3 Mathematics within an engineering context.
• Delivering Mechanical Principles, including relevant engineering theories and calculations.
• Teaching Materials, covering the properties, selection and application of engineering materials.
• Delivering Health and Safety, ensuring learners understand safe working practices within engineering environments.
• Planning and preparing engaging lessons and learning resources.
• Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback and supporting achievement.
• Maintaining accurate student records and completing assessment and marking in line with college requirements.
• Supporting learners with different abilities and helping them reach their full potential.
• Promoting safe working practices and maintaining high standards of behaviour and professionalism.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience delivering engineering subjects at Level 3.
• Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics, Mechanical Principles, Materials and Health and Safety.
• A relevant engineering qualification and/or industry experience.
• The ability to deliver engaging lessons that support learner progress and achievement.
• Strong communication, organisational and classroom management skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
• A recognised teaching qualification and experience teaching within a Further Education setting would be advantageous.
