Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd, a further education provider in Greater London, is seeking an Engineering Lecturer to deliver theory and hands‑on workshop sessions to learners pursuing engineering qualifications. You will plan lessons, assess progress, maintain a safe workshop and classroom, and help students develop technical and employability skills while contributing to curriculum development.

• A relevant vocational qualification in engineering or related discipline.
• Demonstrable practical experience gained in the engineering industry.

Are you an experienced engineering professional looking to inspire the next generation?

About the Role

As an Engineering Lecturer with a further education provider, you'll deliver practical, engaging teaching to learners working towards their engineering qualifications. You'll combine theory with hands‑on workshop practice, helping learners build the technical skills, industry knowledge and confidence they need to progress.

You'll plan your sessions, assess progress and support learners through their programmes, working alongside colleagues from the industry.

Your responsibilities will include:

What We're Looking For

• A relevant vocational qualification in engineering or a related discipline

Desirable (but not essential):

• A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Previous experience of teaching, assessing or mentoring in a workshop or classroom setting
