Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking an Electrical Engineering Lecturer (Temporary) to join a further education college in the South East. You will teach electrical engineering and related subjects to learners preparing for vocational qualifications, in both classroom and workshop settings.

Responsibilities include planning sessions, assessing work, giving feedback, and maintaining learner records. A Level 3 qualification and industry experience are required; teaching qualifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in electrical or electronic engineering, or equivalent.
• Relevant industry experience within the electrical engineering sector.
• Desire to develop others and share technical knowledge.
• Desirable teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching or training learners.
• Knowledge of vocational engineering qualifications.

Are you an experienced electrical engineering professional looking to pass your skills on to the next generation?

About the Role

You’ll join a further education provider in the South East, delivering electrical engineering teaching to learners working towards vocational qualifications. Whether you’re already teaching or currently working in industry, your technical knowledge is what matters most.

You’ll plan and deliver engaging sessions across theory and practical workshop settings, helping learners build the skills, understanding and professional behaviours they need to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further study.

Your responsibilities will include:
