Job summary

East Midland Institute of Technology, based at Loughborough College, seeks a Lecturer in Engineering (Higher-Education) to teach Level 4, 5 and 6 modules to HE students, part-time, full-time and Higher Apprenticeship HE cohorts.

The role requires an engineering degree or master, a willingness to pursue a teaching qualification, and readiness to travel to other work locations as needed. Relevant vocational experience in the power sector is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Possess an engineering degree or master in engineering.
• Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification.
• Experience in a relevant vocational industry setting (power industry).
• Ability to motivate students using varied teaching strategies.

Responsibilities

• Teach Level 4–6 Engineering modules to HE students (various modes).
• Contextualise learning using industry experience and expertise.
• Contribute to quality assurance and continuous improvement processes.
