Job summary
Matchtech is recruiting an Engineering Lecturer for our Hull training centre, with travel to Grimsby and Scunthorpe sites. You will inspire and develop the next generation of engineers by delivering engaging, technically focused training to apprentices and adult learners.
The role requires a degree in mechanical engineering, substantial industry experience, and the ability to teach engineering design and mathematics. A teaching qualification is supported and travel by car is expected.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- Strong technical, IT and engineering problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal abilities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, technically focused training to apprentices and adult learners.
- Teach engineering design, mathematics and mechanical principles.
- Provide instruction in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, electrical and electronic principles.
- Support learning in automation, robotics, PLCs and production engineering.
- Develop learners' understanding of quality, process improvement and practical engineering applications.
- Prepare learning materials, assess progress and provide feedback.
- Travel between Hull, Grimsby and Scunthorpe centres as required.
