Job summary

Reed Further Education is seeking an Engineering Lecturer or Apprenticeship Trainer to deliver engaging engineering education in Manchester. You will cover a range of engineering disciplines for learners and apprentices, contributing to their progression and professional development.

The role requires delivering lessons, developing resources, and supporting safeguarding and welfare. A relevant engineering qualification and teaching/training credentials are essential, with an Enhanced DBS check

Qualifications

Previous experience teaching, training, assessing, mentoring, or coaching within an engineering environment.
Experience working within Further Education, apprenticeship delivery, or vocational training environments.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality engineering lessons, workshops, and training sessions.
Support apprentices and learners on placements working towards engineering qualifications and standards.
Assess, monitor, and track learner progress against agreed targets.
Develop engaging lesson plans and training resources aligned with curriculum and industry requirements.
Support learners in developing both technical and employability skills.
Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
Follow safeguarding procedures and contribute to student welfare.
