Job summary

G2 is seeking a Software Engineering Lead for Multimodal AI Products in London. You will lead a core engineering team building agent-driven features that combine image, audio and text to enhance the software marketplace experience.

We value deep backend expertise, hands-on AI delivery, and strong collaboration with product owners. The role is hybrid with onsite presence in our London office 1–2 days per week.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional programming and backend experience.
• 2+ years of experience directly managing engineers.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python or Typescript/Javascript; strong backend framework knowledge.
• Direct experience applying multimodal AI in content production or generation workflows.
• BS/BA degree in related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead a core team of engineers behind multimodal AI products.
• Deliver agent-driven user journeys from architecture to release.
• Design features with frontier models, prompting, and multimodal outputs.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership in AI for the team.
