Job summary

IRIS Software Group is seeking an Engineering Lead to drive AI-first cloud-native solutions. You will lead an autonomous full-stack team using .NET/C#, frontend JS frameworks, and cloud-native tech, with hands-on contribution and strategic direction.

Role emphasizes delivery management, technical leadership, and people development within a hybrid work model across global customers. Strong focus on governance, security, and modern engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with leadership responsibilities
• Demonstrated delivery of complex software projects using Agile methodologies
• Experience with production systems, code reviews, and architecture governance
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive AI-enabled software solutions

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic technical leadership through architectural guidance and selective hands-on contributions
• Define technical decisions and maintain system health via architectural oversight and debt management
• Establish and drive quality culture with TDD/BDD, testing standards, and code review excellence
• Define team security standards and promote secure-by-design practices
• Stay technically current through reviews and strategic involvement aligned with organisational strategy
• Delegate execution to senior engineers while maintaining oversight
• Define AI strategy and ensure responsible AI practices across teams
• Empower team decision-making within governance frameworks
• Define team documentation strategy and knowledge management
