Job summary

Gressingham Foods at the Redgrave site is seeking an Engineering Stock Controller to join a multi-skilled engineering team. You will maintain, control and optimise inventory to minimise downtime while ensuring cost and data accuracy.

You will manage stock levels, perform cycle counts, oversee goods inwards and PPE, and generate reports for management. The role supports continuous improvement and strict health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Maintains and updates the computerized stock control system with high accuracy.
• Manages stock levels against min/max thresholds to prevent shortages.
• Conducts regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Ensures correct labeling, barcoding, and data entry of parts and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stock control system accuracy and accountability.
• Monitor and trigger reorders to keep critical parts available.
• Organize warehouse layout and part locations for quick retrieval.
• Verify deliveries against documents and resolve discrepancies with suppliers.
• Oversee PPE procurement, tracking and distribution.
• Produce inventory valuation, variance, and health reports for management.
• Support continuous improvement and cost-control initiatives.
• Adhere to SOPs and 5S housekeeping in stores and workshop.
