Contek Recruitment Solutions Ltd is recruiting an experienced Senior Storesperson to join a well-established manufacturing business in Gainsborough. You will manage the Engineering Stores, control stock levels, raise purchase orders, and support the Engineering team to keep production running smoothly.

The role requires strong stock control, supplier management, and familiarity with CMMS; 5S, safety compliance, and cost-effective stocking practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering or manufacturing stores is essential.
• Strong stock control and inventory management skills.
• Knowledge of engineering components and spare parts.
• Experience dealing with suppliers and purchasing.
• Familiar with CMMS / stock management systems.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Engineering Stores.
• Manage stock levels of engineering spares, components and consumables.
• Maintain accurate stock records and carry out regular stock checks and audits.
• Ensure critical spare parts are available to support production and maintenance.
• Identify obsolete and surplus stock and assist with stock reduction.
• Raise purchase orders and source engineering components from suppliers.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations to achieve best value.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and monitor delivery and service levels.
• Work closely with the Engineering and Production teams to understand upcoming requirements.
• Prepare parts and spares for planned maintenance and shutdown activities.
• Maintain accurate records using the site's CMMS / stock management system.
• Support the management of pumps and associated spares across the site.
• Help identify opportunities to improve stock availability, reduce costs and improve reliability.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and 5S.
• Ensure stores activities are carried out safely and in line with site procedures.
• Support wider engineering and continuous improvement projects.
