Job summary

Pertemps Gloucester is seeking an Internal Sales Executive in Cheltenham to join a growing engineering business with clear progression into an Internal Sales Manager role. The role is office-based, full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:00, with an immediate start after interview.

The successful candidate will handle customer enquiries, quotations, order entry, and logistics support within a supportive team, leveraging engineering knowledge to assist in a busy office setting.

Qualifications

• Dynamic, proactive, and highly organised approach to work.
• Confident using computers and office-based systems.
• Technically minded with the ability to understand engineering products.
• Previous experience within an internal sales, sales support, or office-based role.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Confident communicator with a customer-focused approach.
• Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment (advantageous but not essential).
• Engineering or manufacturing experience (desirable but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls and handle customer enquiries.
• Create and issue accurate customer quotations.
• Enter customer orders onto internal systems efficiently and accurately.
• Manage daily logistics, including booking couriers and pallet networks.
• Support filing, archiving, and general office administration.
• Provide strong internal support across sales and operations functions.
