Engineering Geologist/Geo-environmental Engineer

Location: Northampton

Salary: £30-33k

I have a unique opportunity for an Engineering Geologist/Geo-environmental Engineer to join an expanding multidisciplinary team in Northampton. This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career professional with a solid understanding of Geology, looking to develop their technical skills within a supportive, structured environment.

You will work directly underneath the Geotechnical lead, offering the chance for substantial career development as you service large clients as the integrated geotechnical arm of the package provided. Expect structured mentoring and clear operational guidance as you take projects from phase 1 studies, through to validations and geotechnical design works further down the line.

Initial Focus Areas
  • Phase 1 & 2 Environmental Assessments - progressing from validation and data interpretation to gradually taking ownership of factual reporting and site-based work
  • On-site Setting Out - supporting fieldwork operations and site investigations
  • Data Interpretation & Reporting - supporting Phase 1 assessments and validation processes, initially under close supervision

  • Project Mix - Predominantly bespoke, high-value developments
  • Geographic Scope - Nationwide work, with minimal requirement for overnight stays
  • Flexibility - The role offers flexible working arrangements to accommodate site and office commitments
