Qualifications

• Degree or Level 4+ in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge and materials science.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and Cura; Multisim desirable.
• Experience with 3D printing and digital fabrication techniques.
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or Level 5 Diploma, or willingness to work towards one.
• Permanent, full-time role.
• Opportunity to lead and develop Engineering and Electrical programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery and quality assurance of Engineering and Electrical programmes, including the T Level in Design & Development, ensuring compliance with awarding body requirements and industry standards.
• Oversee sessions covering mechanical engineering principles, technical drawing, CAD/CAM, product design and modern manufacturing processes.
• Manage engineering workshops, ensuring safe use of machinery, equipment maintenance and health and safety compliance.
• Coordinate teaching staff, allocate resources, monitor student progress and work with industry partners for placements.
• Promote the use of modern technologies, including 3D printing, rapid prototyping and digital fabrication in teaching and projects.
