Grant Thornton UK LLP is seeking an Engineering Delivery Manager to lead a group of engineers, drive agile delivery, and shape how pods work in an AI-native environment. The role focuses on people, delivery, and processes within a matrix structure, with collaboration across product, tech leads, and management.

Flexible working options are available. You will own capacity planning, hiring, onboarding and performance, while guiding teams through evolving processes and ensuring delivery quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience line-managing engineers.
• Delivery of agile for a pod or team.
• Capacity planning and resource allocation expertise.
• Comfort working in a matrix organisation.
• Background in software engineering and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Line-manage and develop a group of engineers, including regular feedback and career conversations.
• Own growth, wellbeing and performance of the people you manage.
• Lead hiring, onboarding and retention for the team.
• Own capacity and resource allocation for one or more pods.
• Act as agile practitioner, coaching ceremonies and improving delivery cycles.
• Partner with Product Managers to align priorities and roadmaps.
• Raise agile maturity and share patterns across pods.
