Job summary

Grant Thornton UK LLP is seeking an Engineering Delivery Manager to lead engineers, own delivery for one or more pods and guide agile practices. You’ll shape ways of working, drive capacity planning, and partner with Product Managers to deliver high‑impact outcomes in a flexible, AI‑enabled environment.

You’ll thrive in a matrix structure, coaching teams, hiring and onboarding, while balancing growth, wellbeing and performance. Flexible working options are available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience line‑managing and developing engineers.
• Experience running agile delivery for a team or pod, including capacity and resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Lead team leadership and people development across delivery pods.
• Own growth, wellbeing and performance of engineers you manage.
• Own capacity and resource allocation for one or more pods.
• Be the agile practitioner for your pods and coach teams to improve ceremonies.
• Use agile/lean techniques to improve delivery cycle and track flow metrics.
• Partner with Product Manager to align capacity, priorities and skills.
• Drive delivery ownership for pods without a dedicated Product Manager.
• Support AI-native delivery and ensure review quality of AI-assisted work.
