Job summary

Dovetail and Slate Limited is seeking an Engineering Curriculum Manager in London on a temporary contract. You will lead the engineering curriculum area, ensuring high-quality delivery and outcomes across the provision, while developing staff and collaborating with senior teams.

You will monitor teaching quality and learner progress, oversee planning and quality assurance, and drive continuous improvement of engineering programmes in a further education setting.

Are you an experienced engineering professional ready to take on a curriculum leadership role within further education?

About the Role

You’ll join a further education provider to lead and manage the engineering curriculum area, overseeing delivery and maintaining high standards across the provision.

You’ll support and develop teaching staff, monitor the quality of teaching, learning and assessment, and work with colleagues to improve learner progress and outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and managing the engineering curriculum area.
• Supporting and developing teaching staff to deliver high-quality learning.
• Monitoring teaching, learning and learner outcomes.
• Overseeing curriculum planning, quality and performance.
• Working closely with senior leadership and curriculum teams.
• Supporting the continued development and improvement of engineering programmes.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Strong subject knowledge across engineering programmes
• Experience of curriculum leadership within a further education setting
• Experience of managing, supporting and developing teaching staff
• Ability to monitor quality, performance and learner progress

Desirable (but not essential):

• A recognised teaching qualification
• Experience of curriculum planning and quality assurance processes
