Job summary

Stirling Dynamics, based in Bristol, is recruiting a Business Development Executive to join our growing engineering team. The role is development-focused, with exposure across Aerospace, Marine, Pilot Controls and Simulation sectors, and involves working on-site two to three days per week with travel and customer visits.

Eligible applicants must be able to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC). You will collaborate with experienced BD managers, technical specialists and senior leaders to identify

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in business development, sales, account management, marketing, or a customer-facing commercial role (Essential)
• Experience using CRM systems and producing business reports (Essential)
• Experience in aerospace, defence, marine, or engineering sectors (Desirable)
• Experience supporting bid activities, proposals, or customer solution development (Desirable)
• Experience attending or supporting trade shows, exhibitions, or industry events (Desirable)

Responsibilities

• Support business development activities across Aerospace, Marine, Pilot Controls and Simulation sectors
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
• Identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research, customer engagement, and industry networking
• Support strategic account management activities and customer growth plans
• Assist with business development campaigns, customer visits, exhibitions, conferences, and industry events
• Work closely with technical and commercial teams to help develop customer solutions and proposals
• Maintain accurate sales pipeline and customer information within CRM systems
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to identify future opportunities
• Represent Stirling Dynamics professionally as an ambassador for the business in the UK and internationally
