Job summary

Stirling Dynamics in Bristol is seeking a Systems Hardware Engineer to join the Software Gateware & Electronics Hardware team. You will work across electronics hardware and the wider product lifecycle to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

The role offers exposure to requirements capture, architecture, integration, verification and validation, with collaboration across systems, software, safety and mechanical teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in hardware systems engineering or FPGA gateware is a plus.
• Aerospace/defense standards awareness (DO-160/DO-254) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide input across equipment-level systems and electronic hardware development activities.
• Plan and coordinate technical work packages to support project delivery.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across systems, safety, mechanical, software and electronics.
• Support requirements development, systems architecture, interface definition and verification planning.
• Contribute to design, specification, verification and validation of electronic controllers for aerospace systems.
• Develop engineering artefacts and technical evidence throughout the product lifecycle.
• Participate in technical reviews and drive process improvements.
