Job summary
Leeds City College is seeking an Engineering Assessor to join our team at Printworks Campus. The role focuses on visiting partner employers, assessing apprentices in engineering disciplines, and delivering engaging lessons.
You will manage a caseload, provide feedback, and develop materials to support learner progression. The ideal candidate will have Level 3 Engineering qualifications, strong industry experience in milling/turning/CNC, and a commitment to high-quality teaching and assessment
Qualifications
- Qualified to Level 3 or above in Engineering.
- Experience working within the Engineering Industry.
- Teaching experience in milling, turning and CNC.
Responsibilities
- Visit partner employers to assess apprentices on engineering standards.
- Complete admin work for assessments and apprenticeships.
- Provide prompt, constructive feedback after assessments.
- Plan and deliver high-quality Engineering lessons at Level 2/3.
- Develop curriculum materials to meet learner needs.
- Coordinate with employers, mentors, IQAs and awarding bodies.
