Day-to-day tasks include planning and conducting workplace visits, observing practical skills, reviewing portfolios, and verifying evidence against competency frameworks in engineering disciplines. The role involves providing constructive feedback, coaching learners to meet performance and safety standards, and supporting them in developing technical knowledge and professional behaviors. The Engineering Assessor will liaise with employers, tutors, and internal quality assurance teams to ensure accurate progress tracking, timely completion of assessments, and compliance with regulatory and health and safety requirements. Additional responsibilities include maintaining up-to-date assessment records, contributing to continuous improvement in assessment practice, and participating in standardization meetings and professional development activities.
