Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited in Workington is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Assessor to move from the shop floor to an educational role, delivering and assessing engineering training with real impact.

You will support apprentices, conduct workplace assessments, review learner progress, and work with employers to ensure programmes are completed successfully. Full assessor training is provided; 37-hour weeks, Monday to Friday, with strong holidays and pension benefits.

Qualifications

In this role, you will support and assess apprentices working towards Mechanical Engineering qualifications. You will carry out workplace assessments, review learner progress, provide coaching and mentoring, and work closely with employers to ensure apprentices successfully complete their programmes. Full assessor training and qualifications will be provided for candidates looking to move into education.


The ideal candidate will have strong Mechanical Engineering knowledge and experience, along with a Level 3 qualification. Previous assessing experience is not required, just a passion for engineering and a desire to help others succeed.
