Job summary

Siemens Energy Limited in Newcastle seeks a Technical Trainer to develop the next generation of engineers within the Gas Services business. You will coordinate and deliver our apprenticeship programme, blending hands-on teaching with assessment to meet qualification and industry standards.

You’ll create engaging training materials, mentor apprentices and ensure learners progress within set timescales, while upholding Siemens Energy’s Zero Harm culture and compliance with guidelines.

Qualifications

• Engineering teaching/assessing qualifications required or equivalent.
• Experience delivering engineering courses and apprenticeships.
• Ability to create engaging training materials and schemes of work.
• Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and verification processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess engineering courses up to Level 2 in-house.
• Verify Level 3 competencies in line with apprenticeship standards.
• Coordinate and track all elements of the apprenticeship programme.
• Mentor apprentices and develop their knowledge and behaviours.
• Maintain course materials, lesson plans and records in OneFile.
