Job summary

Smart Energy Training is seeking a hands-on Plumbing & Gas Trainer to join our expert team at our Ashbourne and Nottingham training centres. You will deliver high-quality training to plumbing and gas apprentices and help learners reach their potential.

Experience in plumbing, heating, and gas and teaching qualifications are valued. The role offers 37.5 hours per week, with a supportive team, modern facilities, and opportunities to progress.

Qualifications

• Strong industry experience in plumbing, heating, and gas.
• Confidence in engaging learners effectively.
• Teaching and/or assessing qualifications (AET, DET, PGCE, TAQA or equivalent) – training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Delivering engaging, high-quality training to plumbing and gas apprentices.
• Planning and delivering structured lessons aligned with qualification standards.
• Providing one-to-one and small group support to help learners reach their full potential.
• Supporting learners through practical workshop sessions and classroom learning.
• Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Maintaining accurate records of learner progress and attendance.
• Working collaboratively with employers and internal teams to support learner success.
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Salary: Up to £44,000 + bonus (dependent on experience & qualifications)

We’re looking for a hands‑on and enthusiastic Plumbing & Gas Trainer to join our expert team at our purpose‑built Ashbourne & Nottingham training centres.

The role

Salary and benefits

• Salary up to £44,000 plus bonus (dependent on experience and qualifications)
