Job summary

Truro and Penwith College in Cornwall seeks an experienced Engineering Skills and Development Coordinator to support learners and employers within the Maths, Computing and Engineering team. You will coordinate apprentice progress, conduct workplace assessments and reviews, and develop learning materials to help apprentices achieve qualifications and wider outcomes.

The role focuses on strong industry knowledge, coaching, and maintaining employer partnerships while ensuring funding and quality

Qualifications

• Recent industry experience in an engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Ability to work effectively with learners, employers and colleagues.
• Experience delivering or supporting apprenticeship standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor apprentice progress and progress reviews.
• Carry out workplace assessments and reviews.
• Develop learning and assessment materials.
• Collaborate with employers to ensure apprentices achieve qualifications and outcomes.
