Job summary

Truro & Penwith College is seeking an Engineering Skills and Development Coordinator to lead apprenticeship and workforce development programmes. You will coordinate apprentice progress, carry out workplace assessments and reviews, and develop learning and assessment materials to support learners and employers across Cornwall.

In this role, you will collaborate with the Maths, Computing and Engineering team to ensure apprentices achieve their qualifications, maintain strong employer

Qualifications

• A Level 4 or 5 qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Aerospace Engineering.
• Recent industry experience within an engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• The ability to work effectively with learners, employers and colleagues.
• Experience of delivering or supporting apprenticeship standards.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor apprentice progress.
• Carry out workplace assessments and reviews.
• Develop learning and assessment materials.
• Work closely with employers to ensure apprentices achieve qualifications and wider apprenticeship outcomes.
• Maintain strong employer partnerships while ensuring compliance with apprenticeship funding and quality requirements.
