onlyFE, following the integration with Blackburn College, is seeking a Skills Development Coach to support Engineering Apprentices through their journey. Based at the Furthergate Business Park, Blackburn, you will coach, assess and guide learners in fabrication, welding and sheet metal, ensuring high-quality apprenticeship experiences.

The role emphasizes mentoring, industry collaboration with employers, and a learner-focused approach to help learners succeed in their careers.

Qualifications

Level 2 Qualification in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT.
Level 3 Engineering Qualification in a relevant subject area.
Knowledge of theory and practical skills in engineering equipment, machinery and materials.
Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
Relevant industry experience in fabrication, welding and/or sheet metal.
A learner-focused approach with a commitment to delivering an exceptional apprenticeship experience.
Ability to motivate, support and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of Engineering Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey.
Provide expert guidance, coaching, assessment and support.
Build strong relationships with employers across the region.
Support learners from onboarding through to End Point Assessment (EPA).
