Job summary

Training 2000, now operating with Blackburn College, is seeking a Skills Development Coach to support Engineering Apprentices in fabrication, welding and sheet metal. Based at the Blackburn site, you will manage a caseload from onboarding through to End Point Assessment, guiding learners and building strong employer relationships.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Qualification in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT.
• Level 3 Engineering Qualification in a relevant subject area.
• Knowledge of theory and practical skills in engineering equipment, machinery and materials.
• Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
• Relevant industry experience in fabrication, welding and/or sheet metal.
• The ability to motivate, support and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds.
• A learner-focused approach with a commitment to delivering an exceptional apprenticeship experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Engineering Apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey, from onboarding through to End Point Assessment (EPA).
• Provide expert guidance, coaching, assessment and support to learners.
• Help apprentices develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours they need to succeed in their careers while building strong relationships with employers across the region.
