Job summary

Forward Assist Recruitment is looking for a Fabrication and Welding Tutor to guide engineering apprentices in practical workshop skills and theory. The role involves delivering hands-on training in fabrication and welding, plus classroom delivery of safety, materials, and fabrication/welding principles.

The successful candidate will use existing induction plans and be responsible for learner retention and progression, with full training provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Level 3 NVQ qualification required and proven industry experience.
• No teaching qualification? Full training provided as part of professional development.
• Deliver practical training in workshops and underpinning theory in a classroom setting on Health & Safety, Materials, Fabrication Principles, Welding Principles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical fabrication and welding training to groups of engineering apprentices.
• Teach underpinning theory in classroom sessions.
• Develop learning plans and schemes of work for learners.
