Job summary

Training 2000, now operating in Blackburn, invites applications for a Skills Development Coach in Engineering with a focus on fabrication, welding and sheet metal. You will manage engineering apprentices through onboarding to End Point Assessment, guiding their knowledge, skills and behaviours to succeed in their careers and building strong employer relationships across the region.

The role requires industry experience in fabrication/welding, Level 2 literacy/numeracy/ICT and Level 3 engineering

Qualifications

• Level 2 Literacy, Numeracy and ICT required.
• Level 3 Engineering Qualification in a relevant subject area.
• Knowledge of theory and practical skills in engineering equipment, machinery and materials.
• Strong communication, planning and organisational skills.
• Relevant industry experience in fabrication, welding and/or sheet metal.
• Learner-focused approach with commitment to delivering an exceptional apprenticeship experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Engineering Apprentices from onboarding to EPA.
• Provide expert coaching, assessment and support for learners.
• Develop relationships with employers across the region to support apprenticeship delivery.
