Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking an Engineer Supervisor in Penrith, Cumbria, to lead a small team and oversee maintenance on fully automated production machinery. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering alongside supervisory responsibilities, with a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.

You will perform fault finding, planned preventive maintenance, and uplift uptime, working in a market-leading manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical engineering maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on maintenance including pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a factory.
• Experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader within manufacturing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3 (1 Engineer & 2 Production Operatives) to maintain production lines and equipment.
• Carry out maintenance, fault-finding, and planned preventive maintenance on automated machinery to maximise uptime.
• Drive uptime and efficiency through proactive maintenance and teamwork.

Job Role of the Engineer Supervisor

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Engineer Supervisor

• Either Electrical or Mechanical maintenance experience within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Engineering qualifications either Electrical or Mechanical.
• Hands on experience with pre-planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a factory.

Requirements for the Engineer Supervisor

• Be willing to be a Hands-On Engineering Supervisor.
• Recognised engineering qualifications either Electrical or Mechanical.
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.

Desirable Requirements for the Engineer Supervisor

• Experience working as a Supervisor or Team Leader within a Industrial Manufacturing environment.
