A little more about your role

• Working within small teams to support the production of designs, drawings, and specifications for planning/technical applications and construction.
• Managing multiple projects and client accounts simultaneously.
• Providing day-to-day project management support, including design and engineering advice to clients, leading to planning applications and construction drawings.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Engineer based in our growing Leeds office.

The Leeds office is located in the city center, with easy access to train stations, food outlets, and green spaces. It offers opportunities to work with diverse clients and projects across Yorkshire and beyond, including:

• Major infrastructure developments like Sizewell C and High Speed 2.
• Highway and civil engineering services from feasibility to detailed design.
• Drainage, earthworks, utilities, and highway designs for various schemes.
• Public realm improvement works in urban centers to enhance streetscapes and promote sustainable, pedestrian, and cycle-friendly spaces.

What we will be looking for you to demonstrate

• A civil engineering degree or HNC in Civil Engineering, with experience in highways, drainage design, and utilities coordination.
• Post-graduate experience in a civil engineering environment.
• Understanding of drainage and highway design principles, with proficiency in software like Infodrainage, WINDES, Civils 3D, or PDS.
• Experience applying DMRB/Manual for Streets, Local Authority, and Water Company design guidance.
• Ability to prepare designs for drainage, highway schemes, flood risk assessments, and SUDs designs, including contract documents and adoptions.
• Skills in contributing to masterplans, site appraisals, report writing, design calculations, and construction drawings.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.
• Ability to work with team members of varying seniority, seek clarity, and meet deadlines.
• Experience from consultancy or development backgrounds is preferred.
• Eligibility for security vetting, with willingness to obtain necessary clearances.
