Telent's Network Services division is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join our successful Engineering team based in Southampton. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with a talented team of Cloud, Network, and Security specialists, supporting your growth and exposure to challenging projects.

The Cloud Engineer will develop and maintain technical relationships with internal and external customers, providing proactive service and ensuring high customer satisfaction. They will act as a bridge between engineering and Service Delivery, Projects, and Service Desk teams within Telent.

Cloud Engineer - Responsibilities:

  • Train internal staff and customers on products and solutions.
  • Assist with Professional Services and Sales opportunities.
  • Monitor customer incidents and report on accounts.
  • Identify trends, security threats, and technical bulletins affecting customers.
  • Manage documentation related to customer platforms and Telent Cloud Services.
  • Follow internal and external processes for tasks, reporting, and change management.
  • Support PoC scenarios, Type Approval activities, and lab testing.
  • Create and review technical documentation and Statements of Work.
  • Assist in pre-staging equipment for customer sites.
  • Participate in customer meetings and reviews.
  • Ensure accurate timesheet submissions and adherence to policies.
  • Maintain relevant certifications and complete overtime and expenses accurately.
  • Adhere to GDPR and information security policies.

Cloud Engineer - Requirements:

  • Interest in Cloud technologies, including Azure, Linux, MS SCCM, MS Exchange.
  • Experience in support environments or IT Managed Services.
  • On-premise Cloud Services experience.
  • Desirable certifications: VCP 6.x-DCV, LPIC-2.
  • Knowledge of Networking, SQL Server, Azure MFA, Microsoft System Configuration Manager, VMware vCloud Director.
  • Strong work ethic, ownership, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
