Job summary

Ocado Group seeks an experienced Engineer for our 24/7 Customer Fulfilment Centre in Bicester. You will be the principal contact for critical technical issues and drive proactive maintenance to keep operations running smoothly across conveyor networks, lifts and cranes.

You will work 12-hour shifts across days, nights and weekends, bringing strong engineering skills, problem-solving ability and a safety-first mindset to a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Level 3 qualification or a relevant engineering degree.
• Health and safety training; prepared to work safely at height.

Responsibilities

• Serve as principal point of contact for critical technical issues at the Customer Fulfilment Centre in Bicester.
• Conduct proactive improvements and maintenance to keep 24/7 operations running smoothly.
• Work on conveyor networks, lifts and cranes, supporting shift patterns across days, nights and weekends.

About the role

We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Engineer to be part of Ocado history, joining us at our operational Customer Fulfilment Centre in Bicester. You will be working on state-of-the-art technology, being the principal point of contact for any critical technical issues, as well as keeping the operation running smoothly through proactive improvement works and maintenance activity. You will be working on a range of incredible machinery, from the impressive conveyor networks to lifts and cranes. You will work a, shift pattern to support our 24/7 operation, consisting of 12 hour shifts across days

About you

You have 5+ years of engineering experience, with strong technical competency and a drive for career progression. Ideally from an FMCG background, you're confident working in fast-paced, high-performance environments. You're computer literate, eager to learn new skills, and bring a creative, solution-focused mindset to problem-solving. Health and safety is a top priority, and you're comfortable and trained to work safely at height. You hold at least a Level 3 qualification or a relevant engineering degree, ready to apply it in an innovative and inspiring setting.
