Job summary

Safran UK in Fareham is seeking a Field Service Team Leader for Engine Maintenance to guide technicians and ensure safe, timely engine servicing. You will lead daily operations and drive performance against quality, cost, and delivery targets.

The role emphasises hands-on leadership, regulatory compliance, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction within a global aerospace group. Hybrid working options are available.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience within an aerospace, engineering, or maintenance environment.
• Strong understanding of aviation maintenance regulations and engine overhaul activities.
• Ability to interpret technical maintenance documentation, including EMMs, MTIs, IPCs, CMMs, Service Bulletins, and Airworthiness Directives.
• Strong IT skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of technicians, managing workloads, training, resources, and day-to-day operations to ensure customer and business objectives are achieved.
• Perform and certify Level 1-3 maintenance on Safran helicopter engines, ensuring all work is completed in line with airworthiness, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive operational performance through effective planning, KPI management, continuous improvement initiatives, and a strong focus on turnaround time, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure all maintenance records, certification, and release documentation are completed accurately while promoting HSE, QRQC, and 5S best practices throughout the operation.
