Job summary

Action For Carers Surrey is seeking a part-time Young Carers Activities Coordinator (Primary Age) based in Guildford. The role plans and delivers engaging activities for young carers aged 5-12 across West Surrey, creating safe spaces where children can connect, build confidence and have fun.

You will work with schools and community partners, supporting safeguarding and developing relationships with families.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 5-12 in a professional setting.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and professionals.
• Organised and proactive, able to work independently.
• Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a range of engaging activities across West Surrey, creating safe, welcoming spaces for young carers to connect and grow.
• Build positive relationships with children and families, and work with schools and community partners to identify needs.
• Deliver a varied, hands-on role with activities from crafts to outdoor events and holiday programmes.
