Job summary

Action for Carers Surrey in Guildford is seeking a Young Carers Activities Coordinator to plan and deliver regular youth clubs, weekend activities and school holiday sessions across Epsom & Esher, supporting young carers aged 12-16.

You will build trusted relationships with young people and families, work with schools and partners, identify hidden young carers, and provide encouragement to develop life skills and future aspirations.

Qualifications

Experience working directly with children and young people.
Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities and group sessions.
Understanding safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
Comfort working with schools and community partners.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver a regular programme of evening youth clubs, weekend activities and school holiday sessions.
Build strong relationships with young people and families.
Work with schools and partner agencies to identify hidden young carers.
Provide informal support, helping young carers develop resilience and life skills.
