Job summary

Action for Carers Surrey invites applications for a Young Carers Activities Coordinator (Primary Age). The role is 18 hours per week across three days, based in Guildford with travel across West Surrey. It is a 6-month fixed-term contract with a pro-rata salary of £17,334–£18,445 per year for part-time hours.

A full UK driving licence is required to travel between sites. Applicants should have experience with children aged 5-12, skills in planning engaging activities, safeguarding knowledge, and

Qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 5-12 in a professional setting.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and professionals.
• Organised and proactive; able to work independently.
• Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging activities across West Surrey.
• Build relationships with children and families, work with schools and partners.
• Support a holiday programme and group activities.
• Travel across West Surrey; occasional evenings and residential activities.
