Job summary

Westgate Healthcare is seeking an energetic Activities Coordinator to design and deliver a dynamic programme of activities for residents. You will build a varied calendar, from arts and crafts to social events, and work closely with the team to ensure inclusivity and safety.

You will foster resident involvement, manage social media content and newsletters, and collaborate with community groups to bring new opportunities to the home.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in activities role is desirable.
• Creative and enthusiastic with a passion for engaging older people.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Get to know residents and understand interests and activity needs.
• Create and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities.
• Explore ideas with local community groups and external organisations.
• Organise themed events, celebrations and fundraising activities.
• Plan outings with staffing, safety and risk considerations.
• Manage the monthly activities budget in line with procedures.
• Complete risk assessments for activities and outings.
• Produce engaging newsletters showcasing home activities.
• Capture and share photos for social media content.
• Collaborate with the wider team to ensure inclusive activities.
