Job summary

Westgate Healthcare Ltd is seeking an energetic Activities Coordinator to design and deliver a varied programme of activities for residents. You’ll create engaging, inclusive experiences, encourage participation, and work closely with staff to tailor activities to individual interests.

The role offers 22.5 hours per week, 10am–6pm, across 3 shifts with alternate weekends. Competitive pay and opportunities for development are included in a values‑driven care environment.

Qualifications

• Right to live and work in the UK.
• Ability to work in a team, a caring nature and a positive attitude.
• Understanding of Health and Safety.
• Understanding of emotional, social, physical, psychological and intellectual needs of vulnerable people.
• Ability to engage others in recreational activities.

Responsibilities

• Get to know residents and understand their interests and activity needs.
• Create and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities.
• Explore new ideas and work with local community groups and external organisations.
• Organise themed events, celebrations and fundraising activities.
• Plan outings with appropriate staffing, safety and risk assessments.
• Manage the monthly activities budget for entertainment, materials and outings.
• Produce engaging newsletters and take photographs for social media.
