Job summary

Milesian Manor in Magherafelt is recruiting an Activities / Lifestyle Coordinator to plan and deliver a varied programme of activities that promote social interaction, independence, wellbeing and quality of life for residents.

You will work 37.5 hours per week, coordinating with care teams to tailor activities to individual needs and abilities while engaging families in events and activities.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for working with older people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Creative and enthusiastic with the ability to generate new activity ideas.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
• Ability to encourage and motivate residents in a positive and respectful way.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of activities reflecting residents' needs and interests.
• Adapt activities to accommodate different physical and cognitive abilities.
• Organise external entertainers, performers, and community groups.
• Monitor attendance and engagement to identify popular activities.
• Collaborate with Care Assistants, Nurses and Home Managers to support wellbeing.
