The General Dental Council (GDC) has an exciting opportunity for an Engagement Officer. You will join us on a full-time, 12-month contract. This role is hybrid (minimum 2 days per week at the GDC's London office), with a salary of £35,777 to £42,090 per annum.

The GDC is the statutory body regulating dental professionals in the UK. Our primary purpose is to protect patient safety and maintain public confidence in dental services. We register qualified dental professionals, set standards, investigate complaints, and ensure quality in dental education.

About the Engagement Officer Role

As Engagement Officer, you will coordinate face-to-face stakeholder events, supporting the GDC's engagement programs through effective event delivery, including conferences and meetings, both virtual and in-person.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with external audiences including strategic partners, dental professionals, students, and patient groups across the UK.
• Manage stakeholder engagement tools such as calendars, inboxes, lists, and databases.
• Provide administrative support for engagement workstreams.
• Support event logistics for initiatives like the Dental Leadership Network and external conferences.

You should have excellent planning and organizational skills, experience in administration and event management, and proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and content management systems.
