Job summary

The NHS Race and Health Observatory is seeking a Senior Implementation and Engagement Officer to support delivery of PEADP, a national programme commissioned by NHS England to address racism in perinatal services. The role will coordinate defined workstreams, act as a key contact for participating Trusts, manage engagement logistics, and prepare programme documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating programme or project activity, including meetings, actions, documentation, timelines, follow-up, and reporting.
• Understanding of anti-racism and commitment to equity in healthcare.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Ability to build proactive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Well-organised, with experience using project management tools and processes in multi-stakeholder settings.
• Ability to work autonomously and prioritise effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate defined programme workstreams, including meetings, actions, documentation, timelines, and follow-up.
• Act as a key contact for participating Trusts, coordinating engagement and sharing timely updates.
• Monitor attendance, engagement, and programme activity data to identify trends and improvements.
• Prepare and quality-assure papers, presentations, and programme documentation for audiences.
• Draft clear, inclusive stakeholder communications for different audiences and channels.
• Support events and online engagement activities such as webinars and workshops.
