Job summary

Linklaters is seeking a proactive Business Development professional to support the delivery of the firm’s Energy & Utilities sector strategy. You will collaborate with the Head of Sector Cluster, sector leaders, and BD teams to drive targeted client engagement and cross‑selling across Infrastructure and Private Capital where relevant.

The role focuses on developing BD materials, leveraging CRM capabilities, and using data to spot opportunities and shape sector initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in a BD or marketing role in legal or B2B services.
• Knowledge of Energy & Utilities sector trends and opportunities.
• Proven track record of BD and cross‑selling, preferably with legal services.
• Understanding of sector‑specific BD strategies driving revenue growth, including CRM initiatives.
• Experience with data analysis to inform decisions.
• Comfortable navigating a multi‑matrix structure and complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of an Energy & Utilities sector strategy aligned with firm priorities to grow revenue.
• Collaborate with BD teams to run targeted go‑to‑market campaigns engaging priority clients.
• Assist in CRM usage and resource planning to drive growth initiatives.
• Develop and update sector BD materials (messaging, credentials, pitches).
• Utilise data insights to spot opportunities and monitor market trends for sector initiatives.
• Work with MarTech and data infra to provide proactive sector data for campaigns.
• Partner with Pitching & Product BD teams to craft compelling client proposals.
• Build strong relationships with Sector Leaders, Relationship Partners, and cross‑sector teams to enable cross‑selling.
• Coordinate sector communications and share best practices with partners and client teams.
