Job summary

DCC Energy GB is seeking an Applications Manager to lead a growing Applications function within the central Energy Products & Solutions division. You will act as the gateway between sales opportunities and technical delivery, prioritising work, resourcing, and progressing from enquiry to robust, commercially viable proposals.

You will oversee multi-technology projects across solar PV, BESS, CHP and integrated energy solutions, shaping a scalable, high-performing capability to support growth

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing engineering, technical applications, proposals, estimating, pre-construction or similar operational teams.
• Strong people leadership and team management capability.
• Experience managing multiple competing opportunities, projects or workstreams.
• Strong workload, resource and capacity planning skills.
• Experience coordinating technical and commercial activities against challenging timescales.
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
• Commercial awareness with an understanding of robust technical assumptions and accurate proposals.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple teams, business units and seniority levels.
• Experience improving operational processes, workflows and team performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of the Applications function and team.
• Prioritise sales opportunities and allocate work across engineers.
• Manage incoming demand across multiple technologies and business units.
• Forecast and balance workload; coordinate site surveys and resource.
• Ensure opportunities progress through the Applications process.
• Coordinate site surveys, technical modelling and proposal development.
• Monitor pricing workloads and milestone governance.
• Provide regular reporting on workload and team performance.
• Coach and develop team members and support progression.
