Job summary

Veolia in Marchwood, Hampshire, is seeking an Operation & Maintenance Assistant to support the safe, efficient day-to-day operation of its Energy Recovery Facility. You will work under the Shift Team Leader to ensure compliance with site procedures and environmental standards.

Qualifications

Experience in an industrial setting or continuous-process operation.
Ability to operate cranes and weighbridge equipment with training.
Knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements.
Flexibility to work shifts including weekends/public holidays.

Responsibilities

Support safe day-to-day operation of the Energy Recovery Facility under the Shift Team Leader.
Complete daily tipping hall activities to maintain safe, efficient operations.
Monitor waste reception and vehicle compliance on site.
Operate cranes, mobile plant and weighbridge systems after training.
Assist with Environmental Permit compliance and report issues.
Follow Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems and legislation.
Support other teams and complete additional duties as required.
