Job summary

Veolia Group is seeking a Plant Operator to assist the shift team leader in overseeing the operation and monitoring of the Energy Recovery Facility from the central control room using the DCS. You will ensure environmental permit compliance, perform routine inspections, and support the team to maintain safe and efficient plant operation.

Qualifications

• Engineering experience in a continuous process environment.
• Experience with steam generating equipment is desirable.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical plant is essential.
• Experience in shift work and rotating patterns.
• Good understanding of environmental and health & safety issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist the shift team leader with operation and monitoring of plant from the central control room using the DCS.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental Permit and report any incidents.
• Carry out routine plant inspections, adjustments and data collection.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of Energy Recovery Facility at all times.
• Monitor stock of consumables and assist other team members as required.
