Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Engineer to join a dynamic energy projects team on a major onshore and energy transition program in Teesside.

You will provide package-level cost management, forecasting and performance analysis, aligning cost information with progress and commercial controls. The role requires strong Excel and Power BI skills, and effective collaboration with Planning, QS, Commercial and Construction teams.

Qualifications

• Cost engineering experience on major construction projects in energy or heavy industry.
• Forecasting, cost reporting, variance analysis, and FC/FOC reviews.
• Experience with contractor/subcontractor cost data and package-level reporting.
• Strong Excel and cost reporting skills with large data sets.
• Experience with Power BI and project controls dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Provide package-level cost management, forecasting and performance analysis.
• Ensure cost information is robust, current and aligned with progress and forecast reporting.
• Interface with Planning, QS, Commercial and Construction for cost visibility and reporting outputs.
• Support cost narratives and reporting outputs for management and stakeholders.
