Job summary

Citizens Advice SORT Ltd is seeking an Energy Adviser/Champion in Greater Manchester. You will deliver energy advice to those at risk of fuel poverty, engage with partners and communities, and run energy awareness sessions to professionals and residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering frontline energy advice.
• Ability to engage with partners and community groups.
• Familiarity with vulnerable client support and energy efficiency issues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver energy advice to those at risk of, or in, fuel poverty.
• Act as a consultant to advisers within partner organisations on energy advice and energy efficiency issues.
• Deliver energy-focused pop-up events in community locations using local data to target areas of need.
• Undertake assessments and offer practical energy saving tips to clients.
• Advocate and liaise with energy and water suppliers on behalf of clients.
• Maintain case records to quality standards.
• Provide energy information with referrals or signposting when needed.
• Refer clients to internal specialist services where appropriate.
• Deliver light-touch energy training to partner organisations.
• Promote the Citizens Advice SORT Group positively.
