Job summary

Amey Group Services LTD is seeking a permanent Energy Manager to join our Consulting Advisory team covering Energy Transition & Sustainability. The role involves applying energy management theory to real client challenges and delivering technically sound solutions on site or visiting basis.

You will work under the head of energy management, supervise junior staff, contribute to bids, liaise with clients and suppliers, and help drive risk assessment and BMS data analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in energy management or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of energy management theory and software tools.
• Good communication and risk assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team to produce energy management solutions.
• Prepare and check deliverables meeting quality, cost and schedule criteria.
• Oversee junior staff and supervise similar tasks.
• Liaise with client and supplier representatives and attend progress meetings.
• Assist bids and the general work-winning function; on-site visits as needed.

The Opportunity We have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Energy Manager to join our Consulting Advisory team covering Energy Transition & Sustainability. The role Working under the general direction of the head of energy management, you will provide technically sound solutions for your assigned clients in relation to any and all areas of energy management within our clients' goals.. Responsibilities include: To work in a team, producing technically sound energy management solutions, complying with all relevant technical standards and client requirements, working unsupervised and supporting colleagues on other contracts where necessary The preparation and checking of scheme deliverables that satisfy the overarching criteria of quality, cost and programme. Overseeing the actions of more junior members of staff undertaking similar tasks and taking responsibility for their actions Liaising with client and supplier representatives at peer level, attending progress meetings, responding

to queries etc. Contributing to the preparation of bids and the general work winning function Working on site, either on a visiting basis or in a full time but temporary role and including limited out of hours working and only when absolutely necessary What you will bring to us: Bachelor's or master's degree in an appropriate subject or equivalent experience and knowledge skills Applies energy management theory and principles to clearly understood situations, where concepts are matched to problems Takes ownership for the preparation and checking of deliverables and is fully capable of working unsupervised and supervising more junior members of staff undertaking similar tasks. Can check deliverables to a reasonable standard and takes ownership for this Very good working knowledge of relevant software and similar analytical tools Demonstrates good commercial awareness Has very good knowledge of contractors and types of services they provide Good oral communicator who is, able to present

arguments and ideas well, Has a good understanding of risk assessment. Experienced in the management and communication of hazards and risks on projects and ensures appropriate risk mitigation and transference has been applied Demonstrates a good understanding of Building management systems (BMS) and can manipulate and handle all energy data (including half hourly data) What we can offer you: At Amey, we recognise that our biggest asset is our people.
