A leading not-for-profit organization seeks a property energy management technical lead. You will oversee energy strategies, conduct analyses, and identify optimization opportunities to enhance sustainability. This role requires extensive experience in energy management across various building types and strong qualifications in the field.

Your new role
You will be the property energy management technical lead, providing advice to property teams and internal stakeholders. Your responsibilities include managing an estate-wide Utility & Asset Metering strategy to enhance data collection and visibility of energy consumption and renewable generation data at site level. You will report through a dedicated energy management reporting platform and oversee a robust energy Monitoring & Targeting (M&T) program across all utility meters and asset data to drive energy reduction and minimize waste. You will conduct expert analysis of energy data to better understand the building portfolio and its energy consumption profiles. Additionally, you will identify and respond swiftly to consumption changes within the estate by investigating data and conducting onsite energy audits of various buildings as needed. Your role includes identifying and quantifying opportunities for energy optimization and carbon reduction, and producing business cases for energy reduction and renewable energy generation opportunities related to capital projects and local Planned Maintenance Program (PMP).
What you'll need to succeed
You should have strong experience working successfully in a similar energy management advisory role across a multi-site estate of various building types and applications (Solar PV, HVAC, Lighting, BMS & Controls), ideally within the built environment sector. Qualifications include NVQ Level 7 in Energy Management/Sustainability or equivalent, and professional membership with an accredited organization such as the Energy Institute, Energy Managers Association, or CIBSE. A strong understanding of relevant legislative requirements such as ESOS, Energy Performance of Buildings (EPB), Part L Building Regulations, F Gas Regulations, and the Climate Change Act 2008 is essential.
